John T. Brown
U.S. Army
1968
KIA - Vietnam
“John was a grammar school friend and he played basketball for Port Richmond High School, and his father was a CYO Coach. This bio may sound so simple and short, but that was because he was killed in Vietnam at such a young age… As I have reached my 74th year, I think about how much he missed, and how much he was missed.”
John was born and raised on Heberton Street, attended St. Mary’s Assumption and Port Richmond High School.
As a Private First Class, John Thomas Brown served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action in Vietnam.
